EcoSwing®: new biosolution to produce table grapes with a lower chemical load
A common problem
The viticulture sector finds itself at a great crossroads. On one side, damage caused by the Botrytis cinerea is so extensive that it has become the main problem faced by cultivators in various countries. On the other side, the Maximum Residue Limits (MRL) that the market wants are continuously lower and more demanding. Also, the options of chemical molecules are limited due to the ability of the fungus to adapt to different conditions.

Ecoswing was given authorization by the Agricultural and Livestock Service in February 2019 and has solved this problem by offering greater control of the fungus. In laboratory and field tests, Ecoswing proved to be effective in preventing the onset of diseases such as powdery mildew, gray mold (Botrytis cinerea) and acid rot, among other fungal diseases.
In previous studies in France where Ecoswing’s preventive and curative properties were tested on grapes inoculated with Botrytis, it was observed that plant defenses are stimulated with the application of Ecoswing, with healing of the tissue occurring in the pathogen’s inoculation area by accumulation of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and callus in the external tissues.
